What the QBO offer actually includes.
Bella's QBO workflow is built as a tenant-scoped integration, not a shared spreadsheet export. Each salon authorizes its own QuickBooks company through Intuit OAuth, connects Plaid bank links when bank-direct ingestion is needed, and reviews staged entries before Bella writes anything into QuickBooks.
The owner workflow is intentionally conservative: MFA is required for connection and posting actions, QBO/Plaid tokens are encrypted, every staged entry is scoped to the tenant, and the AI classifier proposes categories instead of silently changing the books.
QBO connection
Owners connect QuickBooks through Intuit OAuth. Bella stores encrypted credentials, tracks token health, and exposes disconnect/reconnect flows so a tenant can revoke access cleanly.
Plaid ingestion
Where QBO bank feeds are not reliable enough, Plaid bank links can stage bank transactions into Bella's review queue without giving Bella the tenant's bank password.
AI classification
The classifier reads merchant, memo, Plaid category, and tenant rules, then proposes the QBO category with thresholds, monthly cost controls, and owner-configurable privacy settings.
Approval queue
Entries sit in a staging queue for review, override, reject, bulk approve, and audit. Owner approval is the default posture before anything posts into QuickBooks.
